The Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly's monsoon session ended in disarray on Wednesday as opposition members walked out of the house, alleging the government had failed to release promised compensation for crop damage from July's excess rainfall.
The state agriculture minister told the house that survey work in affected districts was "90 percent complete" and disbursement would begin within a month, a timeline the opposition called "vague and repeated from the last session."
The Top Interview's Priya Sharma tracked the session from the press gallery and spoke to MLAs from both sides after proceedings ended.
